This policy applies to the nextab.sbs website and the NexTab application. The ToolSee site on the subdomain toolsee.nextab.sbs is a separate service and has its own privacy policy, available at toolsee.nextab.sbs/privacy.

1. What do we collect?
Account Data
If you create an account, we collect your email, an optional display name, and a password encrypted using scrypt. We do not retain the password itself. We may also collect the time the account was created and the last activity related to the service.
Data You Create
When using the tools, tasks, notes, budget data, and other information you choose to save in your account may be stored. Some tools save their data locally in your browser only. Password vaults are encrypted on your device before being saved, and the PIN code never leaves your device.
Technical Data
Like most websites, the hosting provider and security service may record basic technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, the requested page, time, and response code. This data is used to operate the site, ensure security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors.
External Tools Data
Some tools fetch data from external services. When used, those services may receive your IP address and the necessary request data:
- Weather: Open-Meteo, and the request may include approximate coordinates if location access is allowed.
- Cryptocurrency Prices: CoinGecko.
- Exchange Rates: open.er-api.com.
- Reverse Geolocation: Nominatim / OpenStreetMap when using location-dependent features.
We do not control the practices of these services, and we recommend that you review their privacy policies.
2. Why do we process your data?
- Service Provision: creating an account, logging in, saving what you choose to save, and synchronizing it across your devices.
- Security: Protecting the site and accounts, preventing misuse, and investigating malfunctions.
- Support: Responding to your questions and requests.
- Legal Compliance: Where the law requires it.
- Service Improvement: Understanding overall usage in an aggregated form, without creating advertising profiles about you.
Where applicable by law, we rely on contract performance (providing the service), our legitimate interest (security and service improvement), your consent (when we explicitly ask for it), or legal compliance.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
NexTab may use local storage (localStorage) to save preferences such as language, appearance, and login status. These items are necessary for the application to work as you expect, and you can delete them from your browser settings.
Infrastructure providers may use necessary secure cookies. We use Google AdSense to display ads on public pages. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and measure their performance. Where required by law, personalized advertising is not enabled before your consent. You can manage ad preferences in Google Ads Settings or your browser settings.
As for ToolSee, it displays Google AdSense ads and uses CookiePal to manage consent and Google Consent Mode v2. Details can be found in ToolSee Privacy Policy.
4. Who receives your data?
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with service providers acting on our behalf, to the extent necessary to provide the service:
- Hostinger: Website hosting, database, and email.
- Cloudflare: DNS management, protection, and access acceleration.
- External data providers: As indicated in Section 1 when using weather, market, and location tools.
- Legal entities: If requested by law or to protect rights and safety.
Data may be processed outside your country, including within the European Union and the United States, in accordance with appropriate contractual safeguards where required by law.
5. How do we protect your data?
- We use HTTPS to encrypt the connection between your browser and our server.
- Account passwords are stored as scrypt hashes, not in plain text.
- Password vaults are encrypted locally using AES-GCM and a key derived from the PIN code via PBKDF2. The PIN code is not stored on the server.
- We restrict server access and use regular backups.
- We regularly review dependencies and security updates.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep a strong password, and do not share your PIN code or access codes with anyone.
6. Retention Period
We retain account data and the data you store as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete the associated data within a reasonable period, while retaining what is legally required or for security purposes and misuse prevention. Limited backup copies may remain for a short period before being replaced according to the backup cycle.
Technical logs may be retained for a limited period for security purposes and error diagnosis.
7. Your Rights
Under applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data and obtain a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request the deletion of your data or restrict its processing.
- Object to certain types of processing.
- Withdraw your consent where the processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

8. Children
NexTab is not directed to children under 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us to delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. If the change is significant, we may notify you via email or within the app.
